Mul Cotton Saree Care Instructions
At Parambarya, we carefully curate beautiful traditional sarees to bring timeless elegance to your wardrobe. To preserve the beauty and quality of your saree, please follow these care instructions.
Washing
- We recommend dry cleaning the first wash, especially for sarees with rich colours, block prints, zari, or embellishments.
- Wash only in cold or room-temperature water.
- Soak for 3–5 minutes only. For the first wash of dark or vibrant colours, adding a tablespoon of salt to the water may help minimise colour bleeding.
- Use a mild liquid detergent or baby shampoo. Avoid pouring detergent directly onto the fabric.
- Hand wash gently using a pressing motion. Do not scrub, rub, or use a brush.
Drying
- Do not wring or twist the saree. Gently press out excess water.
- Dry flat or hang in a well-ventilated shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight, as it may cause colours to fade.
- If using a dryer, select the lowest heat or delicate setting and remove the saree while it is still slightly damp.
Ironing
- Iron on a low to medium heat setting.
- Lightly mist the fabric with water before ironing for best results.
- Avoid direct heat on zari, embroidery, sequins, beads, or embellishments. Use a pressing cloth if needed.
Storage
- Store your saree in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
- Wrap it in a soft muslin or cotton cloth to protect it from dust and moisture.
- Fold and refold occasionally to help prevent permanent creases, especially for sarees with zari work.
Important Note
Minor colour variations may occur due to lighting, photography, and screen settings. As many of our products are handcrafted, slight variations in weave, texture, or finish are part of their unique charm and are not considered defects.
